Understanding the vulnerability of the situation, Congress-led State Government is performing various noteworthy initiatives and schemes. Since the pandemic started and till today, the government is constantly worried and taking productive steps to help the people and their families. Under the guidance of AICC President Smt. Sonia Gandhi, AICC Control rooms have been set up to coordinate with the party’s state units about the relief activities being carried out during the second wave of COVID-19. AICC control room shall coordinate with PCC control rooms regularly and report back with the feedback. The Control room has been set up at PCC Headquarters. Protecting the common man from the grip of the covid-19 infection, ‘Humane’ CM, Shri Ashok Gehlot has decided to provide free vaccines to people aged between 18 to 45 years. Several oxygen plants have been set up and infrastructure has been developed in the medical field. The health ministry is constantly on its toes since the onset of the second wave. A COVID-19 helpdesk is functioning 24 hours, where the patient, as well as the family, can avail help from any district of the state and register complaints as well. The helpline no. 181 will resolve issues regarding ambulances, ventilators, oxygen and beds for the patients. Apart from that, the state government has successfully created an online portal to show the online status of various categories of beds that are available in government and private hospitals in the state. The in-charge of district level at each hospital and control room phone numbers of the respective district are there on the portal so that the patient or the family can connect easily. This is a great step towards the wellbeing of covid patients and their families, as it will not only resolve the bed crisis but would also help in reducing the chaos and confusion all around.

Another need of the hour initiative by the state government was creating state level helpline number 1800-180-6030, where the consumers can complain about black marketing of products during the curfew/lockdown. One can complain online also at www.consumeradvise.in
